Jewellery Care

Kiraz jewellery pieces are made to be worn and loved every day, but like all metals, they may oxidise over time. With the right care, you can keep them looking their best for longer. Here’s how to care for your pieces.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Gently wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth after wearing to remove oils and residue

• Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning sprays as these can speed up oxidation and dull the finish

• Store your jewellery in a dry place, ideally in a pouch or separate compartment to prevent scratches or tarnishing

• Stainless Steel Tip: While stainless steel is rust-resistant and ideal for daily wear, it still benefits from care. After exposure to saltwater or sweat, rinse and dry thoroughly to maintain its shine and durability.

What is Oxidation, and Is It Normal?

Yes, all jewellery, no matter the material, will naturally oxidise over time. This is especially true for metals exposed to air, moisture, and skin oils. It’s a completely normal reaction and can be slowed down with proper storage and care.

Can I Wear My Jewellery in Water?

Yes, most of our pieces can go in water. That said, we don’t recommend it. Regular exposure to water can cause dullness, mineral buildup, or tarnishing over time. It’s always best to remove jewellery before swimming or showering.

Pro Tip: Store It Right

Keep your pieces in a cool, dry spot, ideally in a pouch or separate compartment. This prevents scratches, tangling, and premature tarnishing.

With just a little extra care, your jewellery pieces will stay beautiful and last longer.
